Tungsten  purchased as a mineral is normally as wolframite or scheelite. Again our standard trading model would see the mineral delivered to a warehouse Hong Kong Singapore or Rotterdam where it would be weighed and sampled by A.H.Knight and payment would be made upon these results. This trading model can , however , be modified by agreement.

The standard trading grade for wolfarmite has grown up around the typical chinese concentrate which contains on average 65% WO3. Other origins with content of as low as 45% can be traded with reference to the standard price . Impurities are dependent on origin with Nigerian containing up to 10% SiO2 and 5% CaO. such grades are accomodated with reference to the base price.Radioactivity must be at a minimum.  Scheelite normally contains some 70% WO3 and of particular importance is the Phosphurous as it principle use is in the production of Ferrotungsten.
